Community Organizer

The Community Organizer will join ANWOL’s Policy and Advocacy Department and report to the Manager of Policy & Advocacy. This position will focus on implementation of ANWOL’s community organizing and outreach strategies. The organizer is the public face of the organization at multiple community meetings and effectively communicates the values and objectives of ANWOL’s advocacy work. This position will undertake extensive outreach, education and mobilization of key Southern California communities needed to advance criminal justice reforms. The job will require some travel across the state, and flexible work hours, including some weekend and evening hours.

Housing Coordinator

The Housing Coordinator is responsible for the proper administration and oversight of A New Way of Life Reentry Project’s safe house model by assisting women returning home from jail and/or prison with safe housing, re-establishing community connections and creating an environment that allows them to heal from trauma and transform their lives.

Social Worker

The LCSW Social Worker (Clinician) possesses and implements the generic knowledge and educational background applicable to working with formerly incarcerated individuals, groups, families, other disciplines and community services within and outside A New Way of Life Reentry Project (ANWOL). The Clinician works with all appropriate systems on behalf of the client, and will visit all of the reentry facilities. The Clinician will provide a model of social service delivery that includes counseling and case management services.
